WPS is seeking a Marketing Manager to join the marketing department to plan and execute our annual conferences and marketing campaigns, and work as an expert in other areas of the marketing department including customer insights, and promotional development. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, enjoys communicating with others, has elite organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow your marketing skills within the educational and psychological assessment field.

Responsibilities Include:

Strategizing, planning, and analyzing WPS’s presence at twelve national annual conferences to increase visibility of our brand and products among target markets

Managing all aspects of conference initiatives and meeting event deadlines. Including:

  • Pre-, during, and post-conference marketing initiatives including ROI reporting
  • Registration, staffing, accommodations, and audio/visual requirements
  • Shipping, onsite set up, tear down, and other hands-on logistics

Negotiating and securing sponsorships, ads, and/or other promotional opportunities related to conferences

Managing the schedule, staff roster, and author participation for conferences

Working with our in-house production team to create all marketing materials needed for conferences and for use by the sales team at State conventions

Representing WPS at 8-12 conferences annually by interacting with customers to promote products and learn about our market, provide hands-on support for our authors, and assist with focus groups and/or other events

Managing, reporting, and analyzing the conference budget

Assisting all members of the marketing team to execute product launches, implement new initiatives, and support various projects as needed

Compiling, analyzing, and communicating data collected at conferences

Creating an ongoing consumer insights plan, surveying customers and building strong relationships with marketing professionals and decision makers in our industry

Collaboration with our Sales Department, Customer Service, WPS Shipping Department and R&D

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience coordinating and managing conferences/trade shows
  • Efficient organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and ability to follow through on assignments to completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional presence, and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Solution-oriented and able to consider a wide range of factors to make the best decisions on behalf of the company
  • Able to take direction from various department heads and follow specific instructions
  • Creative thinker, open to idea exploration with strong problem solving, analytical skills and ability to respond to challenges in a dynamic growing department
  • Flexibility, ability and willingness to travel an average of up to 25% annually

As a Customer Care Representative, you will be responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department as well as our customers around the globe. Reporting directly to the Customer Care Supervisor, you will use your skills, energy, and positive attitude to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Job functions:                                                       

·      Receives, processes and verifies the accuracy of orders from customers utilizing the CRM/mainframe systems

·      Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests

·      Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures

·      Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns

·      Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations

Skills needed:

·      Excellent phone skills. Speaks clearly, slowly and is a good listener

·      Highly organized.  Demonstrates a good attention to detail

·      Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

·      Ability to work quickly with thoroughness and efficiency

·      Bilingual a plus

Required Education and Experience

·      Bachelor’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology highly desirable

·      2 + years of related experience

·      Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Microsoft CRM is a plus.

Work environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
