- 3
Relax while WPS scores your CE Questionnaire and sends you a Certificate of Completion.
- 4
Submit your certificate to the appropriate licensing board, agency, or association for CE credit.
CE Provider Statement:
WPS is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. WPS maintains responsibility for this program and its content. WPS is an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Approved Provider of continuing education (Provider #3111). The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA. The Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC) has authorized WPS to offer continuing education.
The educational offerings available through WPS may qualify for continuing education credit as required by a variety of other national, state, and local licensing boards and professional organizations. If you need CE credit from an organization other than those listed, please contact your own board or organization to determine specific course and filing requirements.
Questions & Answers
What is the difference between a CE and a CEU?
The certificate WPS provides specifies both CE Credits and CE Units (CEU), because different professional organizations and licensing boards monitor their licensees' CE experience in different units.
Some organizations, such as the American Psychological Association (APA), monitor continuing education experiences in terms of CE credits. For these boards, one CE credit is equal to one contact hour or one study hour. Other organizations, such as the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), monitor continuing education experiences in terms of CE Units. For these boards, one CEU is equal to ten contact or ten study hours.
You will need to check with your professional licensing board to discover whether they would like you to document your CE experiences in terms of CE Credits or CE Units. Either way, the WPS CE Certificate should serve as appropriate documentation.
