Diagnostic Achievement Battery - Intermediate

Diagnostic Achievement Battery - Intermediate

BY PHYLLIS L. NEWCOMER

The Diagnostic Achievement Battery–Intermediate (DAB-I) is an upward extension of the DAB-3 that assesses achievement in adolescents ages 13 to 17. Eight subtests combine to form five academic achievement composite scores for spoken language, reading, writing, mathematics, and basic academic skills.

Use the DAB-I to:

  • Identify students who have significantly lower basic academic skills compared to their peers
  • Determine strengths and weaknesses of individual students
  • Document progress in specific areas
  • Measure academic achievement of teenage students in research studies
