(EOWPVT-5) Expressive One-Word Picture Vocabulary Test, Fifth Edition

The EOWPVT assesses expressive vocabulary; the examinee is presented with a series of color illustrations depicting objects, actions, or concepts and is asked to name each illustration.

The ROWPVT is an assessment of receptive vocabulary; the examinee is shown a series of color illustrations, along with an orally presented stimulus word, and must comprehend the meaning of the word to identify the correct illustration that depicts the word.

The EOWPVT and the ROWPVT were co-normed to provide a comprehensive assessment of vocabulary. Any difference found between the expressive and receptive abilities is easily compared to the frequency of differences found in the normative sample and interpreted for clinical purposes.

Each assessment is individually administered, and each takes 20–25 minutes to complete. Scoring is simple and straightforward—use a printed record form or go online and use our secure scoring and reporting portal, ATP Online. Raw scores are converted to standard scores, percentile ranks, and age equivalents. Reports allow for easy comparison of scores (if desired).
