Live Webinar: Better Nights, Better Days for Children and Teens: The Impact of Sleep on Cognitive Functioning, Behavior, and Mental Health
Description of Webinar
Sleep isn’t just rest—it’s a foundation for thinking, feeling, learning, and growing. In this webinar, we’ll explore how sleep (or the lack of it) affects cognitive functioning, behavior, and mental health in children and teens. We'll cover the basics of sleep science and dive into the real-world consequences of poor sleep—ranging from academic struggles and difficulties with social communication to increased anxiety and depression. Learn what healthy sleep really is, what role screen time plays, and how to encourage supportive habits, work with early school start times, and manage daytime sleepiness. This session will offer actionable strategies and a better understanding of the essential role sleep plays in daily functioning and long-term development.
